About Our Past Events
As community colleges welcome students back—online or in person—this fall, they must be willing to radically reform early student engagement. Whether because of social distancing mandates, greater off-campus obligations, or personal health and safety concerns, students cannot be expected to navigate the complicated maze of office visits and appointments that characterize most college onboarding processes. Instead, community colleges must streamline and simplify the early college experience, in order to provide students with seamless on-ramps and avoid unnecessary early drop-off.
In this interactive working session, hear from EAB research experts, practitioners and your peers about the challenges of onboarding students during a pandemic and the lessons we can apply to future terms. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and workshop solutions to common onboarding pain points and learn about EAB’s most recent insights.
