Kurubel Belay is a researcher focused on developing innovative learning experiences for partner institutions. He joined EAB in 2018 where he has supported research for Chief Research Officers and Provosts addressing issues faced by students and faculty.
Outside of his role, Kurubel teaches classes on diversity and equity in STEM and facilitates intergroup dialogue sessions on topics of race, gender, and immigration in the Washington DC area.
Kurubel earned a B.S. in Industrial Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University. He also holds a M.A. in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he specialized in multicultural education and pedagogy.
