Mike Baker serves as a Strategic Leader for members in the Student Success Collaborative. He partners with regional public universities to implement and take advantage of Navigate technology to drive student success initiatives on university campuses.
Before EAB, Mike served as a high school math teacher in North Carolina, and assisted in curriculum development during the launch of Common Core in Wake County Public Schools, alongside coaching the local FIRST Robotics team. As part of his graduate studies, Mike consulted on program evaluation projects for new technology in Colombia for non-traditional student workers, evaluated digital literacy programs in Western Kenya, and worked with various social enterprises on technology integration into educational environments.
Outside of EAB, Mike enjoys playing board games with friends, working on creative writing projects, and playing a number of instruments. He also enjoys international travel and attempting to replicate culinary dishes from his world adventures.
Michael Baker holds a Master’s in International Education Policy and Management from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor’s of Education in Science and Teaching and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
