Kathy Dawley is an experienced higher education strategist, researcher, innovator, and thought leader who provides counsel to help achieve and sustain institutional enrollment goals during a time of challenge and change for educational institutions at all levels. She utilizes advanced analytics and decision support to inform institutional strategy and improve outcomes in enrollment and financial aid optimization. Kathy joined EAB's Financial Aid Optimization services in 2016 and currently serves as Managing Director, Partner Success, in EAB's Undergraduate Recruitment Services.
Kathy served as President of Maguire Associates for 17 years, working with higher education boards, Presidents, leadership councils, and departmental teams to plan and achieve their strategic and operational goals. She also served as Executive Vice President at FolderWave, where she helped to design and launch The Institute for Enrollment Management, an organization focused on advancing dialogue and informing practice among higher education practitioners who share a desire to adapt, learn, and respond to market changes in new and sophisticated ways.
Kathy is a relatively new grandmother and is being reintroduced to the joys of playtime on a regular basis. Her golden retriever, Brie, has helped Kathy discover miles and miles of conservation trails where transcendentalists once roamed. Kathy is a passionate fan of women's college basketball and annually experiences March Madness for what it is on the court and for what it means in terms of the enrollment management cycle -all at the same time! Among the first in her family to attend college, Kathy spends a lot of time befriending and supporting first generation college students.
Education
Kathy earned a BA in Political Science at Regis College (MA), where she recently completed an eight-year term as a member of the Board of Trustees. She is a former trustee of Bellarmine University and a former member of International Leadership Council of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
