Kate Milani

Director, Research Advisory Services

Kate Milani is a Director in EAB’s Research Advisory Services and serves as an enrollment management expert. She brings a holistic perspective to strategic planning projects and is responsible for driving value for EAB’s partner institutions through proactive decision support on industry-wide trends and guidance on best practices implementation. Having served in both EAB’s Research and E360 organizations, Kate is no stranger to presidential priority setting and has had hundreds of interactions with cabinet-level executives on enrollment strategy, institutional growth, academic program prioritization, market research and demographic forecasting.

Kate’s expertise is grounded in practice having held enrollment management roles at the University of South Carolina, Stanford University, and George Washington University. She elected to join EAB to have a broader impact on enrollment and higher education initiatives across the industry and around the world.

Kate earned a Master of Education in Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she received both Harvard's Leadership in Education Award and Faculty Tribute Award. Her studies, which consisted of coursework at HGSE and Harvard Business School, focused primarily on how to strategically deploy a combination of capital and policy to maximize social impact. Prior to earning her Ed.M., Kate received a bachelor's in strategic communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication and a master's from the University of South Carolina. Despite an upbringing in the U.S. Army that caused her to move 11 times before she turned 18 and a career that has taken her around the country, Kate has finally settled in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, daughter, and two rescue dogs. She still enjoys traveling, indulging in the best sushi she can find, and tackling The New York Times Best Sellers list, one fiction novel at a time.
