Winston-Salem State University Partner Profile: Create Actionable Engagement with Data Using Department Scorecards

Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) utilized Academic Performance Solutions (APS) data from department health checks to facilitate a Department Scorecard exercise containing key performance indicators related to enrollment, student success, and faculty profiles. Department chairs used this data to complete a reflection and assessment to analyze and study trends, share changes the department made, and identify metrics to focus on in the following year. Join this session to learn how WSSU transformed a “data reporting exercise” to an “assessment and continuous improvement” exercise and captured faculty engagement. Attendees will learn about this process, as well strategies that they can apply on their own campuses.
