Joanie Garcia

Joanie Garcia is a dedicated Strategic Leader on EAB's Student Success team. In her role, Joanie collaborates with institutional leaders to implement efficient and effective student success practices to drive positive impact towards each institution's strategic goals. She is passionate about helping institutions create resources, support structures, workflows, and policies that aid every student in achieving their academic goals.

Before joining EAB, Joanie worked at a variety of universities across the country, specializing in orientation, first-year experience, and student success. She holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Leadership in Higher Education from The Ohio State University.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Joanie is an active volunteer, serving as a Wish Granter for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and a coach for Girls on the Run. In her free time, Joanie enjoys ice skating, crafting, running, and indulging in a scoop (or two) of ice cream.
