Key Takeaways from EAB’s Presidential Experience Lab at OpenAI
Partner Event
In early June, EAB had the privilege of co-hosting our annual Presidential Experience Lab—this year in partnership with OpenAI, a global leader in artificial intelligence research and development. Over two immersive days, college and university presidents explored how the latest advancements in AI will shape the future of higher education.
Attendees engaged directly with cutting-edge tools like ChatGPT Edu, designed specifically for students, faculty, researchers, and campus administrators. Presidents engaged in small group sessions to explore imaginative and fictitious AI-driven scenarios in spaces such as health, wellness, jobs, friendship, love, knowledge, memory, etc. and discuss the potential positive and negative implications of the scenarios to society and higher ed. They also saw firsthand how leading institutions are already leveraging AI to enhance the student experience, build interactive curriculum components, streamline operations, and more.
For those who couldn’t attend in person, EAB invites you to join a virtual executive briefing where senior researchers David Vuletich and Colin Koproske will unpack the most compelling themes from this year, including:
- How institutions are using AI to deliver more personalized and scalable student support
- Strategies for integrating AI into academic programs without overhauling your curriculum
- The critical role of presidential leadership in setting a thoughtful, mission-aligned AI strategy
This one-hour, interactive session is a valuable opportunity to explore what AI can (and should) mean for your campus, with practical examples and expert guidance. EAB will also highlight the many ways we’re supporting partners in the AI space, from strategic workshops and AI readiness assessments to our growing Compendium of AI Applications in Higher Education.
