In May, university leaders from across the UK and Europe joined EAB experts to discuss common challenges and research on AI adoption. CIOs and other institutional leaders play a critical role in establishing the foundational organizational capabilities to enable campus-wide AI adoption, from staffing the right teams to selecting pilots to scale.
We invite anyone who attended the May roundtable to nominate colleagues to attend our virtual recap on July 1st and welcome executives and their direct reports at institutions who were unable to join us in person. This session will explore governance models and how institutions are developing the structures and principles to ensure responsible and ethical AI deployment. Ultimately, attendees will be asked to consider their institution’s AI posture, and what that means for AI experimentation and implementation on campus:
- Are you an “off-the-shelf optimizer,” prioritizing ease of implementation by scaling ready-to-use solutions?
- Are you an “iterative innovator,” building AI expertise within IT by developing and deploying targeted solutions in-house?
- Are you a “community empowerer,” democratizing AI development by equipping community members to build their own solutions, while IT scales the most promising ones?
Regardless of their AI approach, attendees will leave this event with actionable strategies and insights to help their institutions harness the transformative potential of AI, ensuring that they are well-positioned to lead their campuses into the future.
