The CBO (Community Based Organizations/College Access Organizations) Summits create a virtual space where CBO leaders and Collaborative members can engage in insightful discussions, reflection, and networking. Our Equity Collaborative is dedicated to nurturing impactful relationships with Greenlight CBO communities, while uniting in the mission to support students in their pursuit of higher education. By doing so, we equip ourselves to take bold, proactive, and adaptive steps in addressing the enrollment challenges faced by both students and educational institutions.

Summit One

Through Our Eyes: CBO Student Alumni Reflections on the Road to College — Oct 29

Join a panel of recent CBO alumni now in college as they reflect candidly on their college search, application, and transition journeys. This session will offer an essential lens for CBO counselors and enrollment leaders seeking to refine support systems and outreach strategies. Following the main panel and Q&A, CBO and enrollment colleagues will engage in small-group discussions to reflect on key themes, exchange perspectives, and consider practical applications in their own institutional contexts.

Summit Two

Navigating the Waters Together: Building and Strengthening CBO-College Relationships Now — Feb 25

Higher education leaders and CBOs are navigating unprecedented challenges in supporting students on the path to college. In this moment of change, the relationship between community-based organizations (CBOs) and colleges matters more than ever. This virtual session will bring together admissions and CBO leaders to reflect on the changes in their day-to-day work, how CBO engagement fits into institutional strategy and student support models, and what both sides of the desk need from one another to be effective partners in the months and years ahead.
