- Re-engaging School Leavers: How Student Pathways into Tertiary Study Are Changing:Â Recent data shows 63% of people aged 15-24 are currently studying, while many others are pursuing work or other pathways after school. For institutions, that means the traditional school-leaver pipeline no longer captures the full picture of student intent. Institutional leaders need a clearer understanding of what shapes post-school decision-making. This session explores the factors influencing entry into tertiary study, including changing student expectations and engagement patterns. Leaders will leave with practical strategies to respond through stronger messaging, more efficient admissions activity, and recruitment strategies that extend beyond the traditional cycle.
