Jacob Drees
Strategic Leader, Student Success
Jacob Drees is a Strategic Leader in Student Success at EAB with more than a decade of experience supporting institutions through data-informed advising, program operations, and student engagement strategies. His work centers on helping colleges and universities translate student success priorities into scalable, well-executed practices.
Prior to joining EAB, Jacob held student-facing and operational leadership roles at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business. He advised hundreds of students annually, analyzed advising trends using EAB Navigate360, and improved student-facing processes to strengthen engagement and efficiency. He later led the development and day-to-day operation of global business programs, managing budgets and expenses, overseeing application and enrollment volume, and supporting programs that generated more than $1 million in annual tuition revenue through disciplined operations and data-informed decision-making.
In parallel, Jacob brings extensive experience in organizational leadership and capacity-building through volunteer roles with Alpha Kappa Psi, where he led regional teams, strengthened recruitment and onboarding processes, and supported consistent execution across multiple chapters. He is known for a practical, systems-oriented approach that helps organizations move from strategy to implementation in ways that better support students and staff alike.
Jacob holds an MBA from Miami University, a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Toledo. In his free time, Jacob enjoys reading, walking trails, and traveling.
