Antoinette Newsome, Ph.D.

Associate Director, Moon Shot for Social & Economic Mobility

Dr. Antoinette Newsome currently serves as an Associate Director/Consultant for EAB’s Moon Shot for Social & Economic Mobility, a transformational initiative to eliminate equity gaps and improve student outcomes. Through her work with Moon Shot, Antoinette supports institutions across the country to implement best practices to inform equity-minded change and leverage technology and data insights.

Antoinette approaches her work with a scholar-practitioner lens. She has work and research experience in both the two-year and four-year sectors. Her professional experiences include areas such as TRIO Programs, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Housing & Residence Life. Antoinette’s research interest centers the implementation of racial equity practices at the community college level, postsecondary schooling support systems for Students of Color, mentoring and peer-mentoring relationships for women of color in the academy, and equity-based action for inclusionary practices at the institutional level.

Outside of work Antoinette enjoys fitness classes, traveling abroad, and trying new recipes!
