Calvin McConnell

Calvin McConnell launches EAB Advisory Services partnerships with university boards, presidents and leadership teams to support strategic institutional priorities. He works closely with higher education executives who are seeking innovative approaches to launching initiatives like strategic budgeting, academic portfolio management, corporate partnerships, and differentiated market positioning.

Before joining EAB, Calvin was a founding team member at an AI EdTech and workforce startup that served schools, students and employers. Serving as GM of Education Partnerships, he co-led the company’s work across learning and working pathways between universities and corporations. Calvin has also worked in a variety of management and strategy positions across admissions, alumni engagement and major gift fundraising at his alma mater, the University of Kansas.

In his free time, Calvin enjoys traveling and being outdoors with his wife, son and dog, Bruno. Based in Kansas City - and a lifelong Midwesterner - he is an avid Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
