Ebony Ramsey, PhD

Director, Research Advisory Services

Ebony M. Ramsey, PhD has been an active proponent for learning and development since the start of her career. Ebony started at EAB in 2024 as a member of the Research Advisory Services team. Ebony has over 20 years’ experience within the higher education, and she delivers best practices research to higher education leaders. She received her undergraduate degree in Theatre and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Ebony then went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Adult Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, a historically Black college in Greensboro, NC and she has a PhD in Human Resources Development with a concentration in Higher Education & Leadership from Colorado State University. Ebony has a passion for working at historically Black colleges and universities which is the focus of her scholarly work. She has worked at several institutions and considers herself a higher education generalist.

Through her career she has carved a niche in helping folks to understand more about activism, education, leadership development and dealing with critical issues & concepts around equity and inclusion. By serving on various committees, writing policy, presenting and challenging the status quo; Ebony has acquired the knowledge and expertise that affords her the opportunity to be a resource to others throughout the country. Ebony has served as a presenter, trainer, keynote speaker and volunteer for various national associations which has allowed her to further her knowledge and continue lifelong learning.

Ebony currently serves in the capacity of director for research advisory services at the Education Advisory Board (EAB). Ebony’s commitment to the holistic development of people is unwavering. She is a change agent and continually works to make the world better for all who encounter it.
