Karin Firoza

Associate Director, Moon Shot for Social and Economic Mobility

Karin Firoza currently serves as an Associate Director/Consultant for EAB’s Moon Shot for Social and Economic Mobility, a transformational initiative to eliminate equity gaps and improve student outcomes. Through her work with Moon Shot, Karin supports institutions across the country to implement 15 best practices to inform equity-minded change and leverage technology and data insights.

Karin brings extensive experience as a diversity, equity, inclusive and justice leader and consultant in higher education and K-12. In higher education, she has held several roles in student affairs and academic affairs which have allowed her a breadth and depth of experiences. She has directed a multicultural center, constructed a first generation college student success network, created an institutional bias reporting and response process, managed faculty of color recruitment and retention initiatives as a part of the Provost's cabinet, and implemented climate and culture assessments for large universities. Karin is a solutions focused change management leader committed to closing equity gaps for underserved students across the educational pipeline.

When she is not working, you can usually find Karin on walks and hikes with her toddler and partner in the many forests of the Garden State.
