Your institution has been prioritized to receive APS’s newest module called Course Planning Optimization (CPO). CPO is designed to empower Deans, Department Chairs, and other individuals involved in course planning with historical analyses and course forecasts to make data-informed decisions.

Join a CPO Intensive, a hands-on virtual working session, and/or CPO Office Hours, a dedicated session for Q&A, to learn how to leverage CPO analyses to inform your decision-making.

Sessions

Use the drop-down in the banner above to register for one of the sessions. Sessions are best suited for those in APS leadership roles such as Provost, Vice President, Associate Provost, Assistant Provost, Dean, Director of Institutional Research, and Department Chairs.

Fall 2021 course registration is underway and, for most institutions, add/drop deadlines are quickly approaching. In this session, participants will learn how to use the Registration Status tab in the CPO module to monitor course registration daily. The tab includes a daily registration feed and other analyses that will inform course adjustments, if necessary, to accommodate student demand. This session is being offered twice; each session will present the same content.

Before we know it, the Spring 2022 term will be here! Many course planners are already at work planning course and section offerings to best support students. In this session, participants will learn how to use the Course Planning and Course Analysis tabs in the CPO module to make informed course and section planning decisions. Both tabs contain various analyses, including historical course and student progress data and course forecasts, to help users make informed decisions about anticipated student demand. This session is being offered twice; each session will present the same content.
