Join EAB’s annual fall roundtable for professional, continuing, and online (PCO) education leaders in Washington, DC where you’ll have the opportunity to engage in highly interactive, executive-level conversations about the most pressing challenges facing higher education today.

Agenda highlights include:

  • Blueprint for Growth 2023 Update: Navigating Risk and Reward in the Master’s Market: In this session, we’ll look at the latest numbers on the master’s market. We’ve had a few years of turbulent enrollments as well as lots of missing data from across the pandemic. Where does the master’s market stand post-COVID? Who’s winning and losing, what does the performance of the online giants look like today, and what disciplines are on the rise or decline?
  • Making Microcredentials Work: Strategies to Build a Robust Portfolio of Successful Microcredentials: Microcredentials are buzzy and it seems that every institution is trying to move in this space. But the field is still very nascent and chaotic, and more institutions than not are struggling to see financial returns (or even to break even) through their microcredential offerings. In this session, we will present best practice tactics that support financial sustainability in microcredential portfolios, whether seeking to generate revenue directly on the microcredentials or using stackability to create microcredentials that provide lead generation and increased enrollment in traditional programs.
  • Securing Competitive Advantage Amid Historic Staffing Shortages: While the higher ed industry has largely recovered from COVID-era layoffs and returned to pre-pandemic staffing levels, the number of roles that institutions have sought to fill has grown almost 300% in the last two years and staff turnover rates on many campuses have hit 10-15%. At the same time, campuses are experiencing widespread faculty and staff disillusionment and burnout. Collectively, these talent challenges are threatening not only workforce productivity and business continuity, but also the broader student experience and campus culture. This session will explore the evolving talent landscape in higher ed, future labor market threats that campus leaders must begin preparing for now, and the new table stakes for recruiting and retaining top talent in light of higher ed’s larger and more diverse competitive set.
  • Cultivating Successful Employer Partnerships: More institutions than ever are looking to employer partnerships as a tool to grow revenue, find new adult learner audiences, and respond to the needs and preferences of today’s lifelong learner. Most institutions, however, aren’t set up to create lasting and mutually beneficial employer partnerships. Faculty and administrators often underestimate the resources required, employers often fail to clearly articulate their needs, and each side finds the other’s organization hard to navigate. In this session, we’ll examine best practices to build successful employer partnerships.
