The transfer student’s journey into your institution can be a complex one to navigate, often compared to a winding road with multiple points of entry, exit, or pause. For university staff, these students often need extra support to answer core questions in their transfer decision and early onboarding steps like, how many of their credits will transfer, how those credits will apply to their degree, and how much it will cost in the first year and beyond. In this session, we’ll share how the University of Houston, Clear Lake created an Office of Transfer Advising to aid in these student conversations with prospective and new students.
