CONNECTED21 Encore Presentation: Missed Connections: What Research and Data Tell Us About the Need for Equity in Support Outreach

This event has passed.
Join this session to learn strategies to improve student response to alerts and outreach, increase utilization of institutional support services, and reduce gaps in student success.

Watch the on-demand webinar on our YouTube channel.

Join us for an encore presentation of Meacie Fairfax’s research on improving support and outreach processes to meet students holistic needs, first presented at CONNECTED21 – EAB’s premiere student success conference – in November 2021. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A with the researcher.

Campuses are rallying together to support the holistic needs of students and close equity gaps. Timely responses to concerns (alerts and flags) raised by instructors and the campus community play a critical role, yet our best data show us that only a quarter of alerts reach a resolution at many schools. To address this, leaders must examine their processes to ensure students feel empowered and supported to overcome challenges at pivotal moments in their college journeys.
