Spring’s campus unrest consumed many leadership teams’ energies as the immediacy of the situation crowded out bandwidth. The Fall’s upcoming elections and expected disruptions threaten to do the same, yet the work of running the university and the necessity to advance strategic initiatives remain.

As strategy officer, you will be called upon to support strategy and operationalization of the president and cabinet as they publicly engage on a range of complex and polarizing issues. Join EAB Managing Director Khadish Franklin and Vice President and Chief of Staff at The University of Texas at Dallas Dr. Rafael MartĂn for a discussion of best practices to both address campus flashpoints and move ahead on important efforts outside of immediate issues.

The discussion will explore these questions and more:

  • What lessons can be taken away from spring 2024 campus unrest?
  • How can you help leaders make sense of competing priorities from a range of campus constituencies?
  • How can you ensure the best outcomes for the institution, especially after evolving campus responses in the wake of encampments and other recent/emerging flashpoints?
