District Leader Research Briefing: The Real Reason Most Districts Struggle with the Science of Reading

This event has passed.
Virtual

With nearly 40% of fourth graders across the country unable to read at a basic level, early literacy has become a must-solve issue for K-12 leaders. District leaders and state officials are rightly embracing “science of reading” approaches to turn the tide, but despite this, many schools are still struggling to improve reading outcomes.

Session

In this webinar, researchers from EAB will provide a look into the findings of our multi-year investigation into the science of reading and share innovative strategies that are helping district leaders find success with their science of reading initiatives. Join us to gain a better understanding of the real reasons most districts have struggled to make progress (hint: a new science of reading curriculum by itself is not enough) and come away with practical strategies and frameworks to improve reading outcomes in your schools.
