Allowing anxiety over every possible risk to dominate leadership discussions will lead to decision paralysis and prevent schools from advancing their own strategic priorities.

During this session, EAB will share key developments in policy areas with the greatest impact for higher ed leaders, and facilitate conversations for attendees on how they are impacting their colleges. Attendees of the April Roundtable in Washington, DC will get an update on key policy areas, and partners unable to attend will get an introduction to EAB’s work on:

  • Financial Aid (explore how federal shifts will change the financial aid landscape, student aid programs, and tuition affordability)
  • The Research Enterprise (discover how recent legislation will affect research funding, F&A costs, and international faculty and staff)
  • DEI and Civil Rights (learn what federal policy changes mean for DEI efforts, underrepresented students, gender identity protections, free speech, and Title IX)
  • Immigration and International Enrollment (unpack what’s changed for undocumented students, international students and staff and federal compliance)

We’ll end the hour with a deep dive into the impact of changes to research funding on institutions, and how deans are leading their colleges through those changes. Attendees will participate in a small group conversation in a breakout room, before concluding the session with key takeaways for their campus.
