Most institutions are looking to grow enrollment by adding new programs to their portfolios, but if not approached carefully, this growth can look like profitless program proliferation rather than meaningful enrollment growth. In this session, we will examine core principles of market demand validation for new programs and how to develop a program business case with go/no-go criteria. We’ll discuss governance structures for program launch decisions and examine a practical 9-12 month program launch timeline, including a must-do checklist for successful launch. We’ll also touch on principles for marketing investment for new programs and approaches to post-launch governance.
