As advancement leaders face increasing pressure to demonstrate return on investment, traditional alumni engagement models are becoming harder to justify. Events, communications, and broad participation efforts may strengthen alumni connections, but they do not always translate into measurable fundraising outcomes. Institutions must rethink how engagement teams contribute to donor growth while continuing to build long-term institutional value.

Join EAB for a research-driven webinar exploring how advancement teams can move beyond activity-based engagement toward a more strategic, donor-focused model. Drawing on EAB research and institutional examples, we will examine eight transformations that redefine engagement’s role in identifying potential donors, deepening prospect relationships, and strengthening the fundraising pipeline.

The session will also explore how institutions can better leverage constituent data, volunteer programs, and campus partnerships to create meaningful connections without continually expanding engagement activities. Participants will learn how to prioritize high-value opportunities, align engagement and development teams, and establish metrics that demonstrate both immediate fundraising returns and broader institutional impact.
