About the Webconference

Nonprofits and charities have long recognized the fundraising potential of peer-to-peer solicitations. In recent years, they have equipped supporters with personal fundraising pages that would help them make asks of their friends, family, and peers. In contrast, higher education has lagged behind in this terrain.

This webconference will focus on ways that universities can leverage alumni networks in order to raise funds for the institution through personal fundraising pages and crowdfunding. It also spotlights interesting initiatives from your peers, including Illinois Wesleyan’s “Giving Circles” and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's student crowdfunding platform.
