Al, a seasoned professional with 40 years’ experience in college admissions and educational administration, joined EAB Enrollment Services in August 2014 and currently provides insight into the creation and execution of successful recruitment strategies.
Prior to joining EAB, he was Vice President for Enrollment at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania. Al was a Royall & Company client at W&J and held the VP for Enrollment position for 11 years. He was previously Dean of Enrollment at that institution for four years. Al also served as the Dean of Admission for Guilford College and as Associate Director of Admission for The University of the South, more commonly known as Sewanee.
Al earned a Master of Education at the University of South Carolina at Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Furman University. In their spare time, Al and his wife, Elsie, enjoy international travel and restoring their 110-year-old Queen Anne Victorian house in Richmond’s historic Church Hill neighborhood.
Education
Al graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Furman University in Greenville, SC. Later he earned his Master of Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.
