Brittany Motley is a Director with the Education Advisory Board (EAB) and serves as the Principal Consultant for Moon Shot for Equity. In this capacity, she works with regional partnerships to execute best practices to close equity gaps within regions. She helps cultivate regional partnerships between higher education institutions to optimize their student success efforts in order to close equity gaps. Her work focuses on serving as a thought partner in leadership development, change management, and student success strategies focused on building an inclusive culture for all students.
Prior to working at EAB, Brittany served as the Executive Director for Student Success at Kentucky State University and the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Wilberforce University. During this time, she oversaw all academic support services at both Universities and was tasked to increase retention and enrollment rates for first time freshmen students.
While exploring barriers that prevent institutions from reaching their student success goals, Brittany has discovered the importance of leading change in the higher education sector. More specifically, she has researched the impact of helping leaders understand their influence on the social systems that students interact with and the impact this has on closing equity gaps and creating an inclusive environment.
Brittany has earned her bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics and two master’s degrees in business and Computer Science. Brittany has earned her PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University. Her dissertation research is focused on how higher education institutions make meaning of their student success landscape using this understanding to enact change as it relates to equity.
