About the Webconference
Many campuses struggle to cope with the effects of academic program proliferation, whether in terms of their consumption of university resources, strain on research productivity, or dilution of areas of institutional distinction. But the tools to do anything about struggling programs are too often ineffectual. In this webconference, we’ll take a look at various approaches to sparking conversations—and action—about the program portfolio, analyzing what works and what doesn’t. We’ll then introduce the EAB point of view on annual program reviews, with particular attention to the ways that the Finance office can be involved in supporting conversations and decisions driven by academic leaders.
