Preparing Principals to Lead Change Collaborative
This program helps district leaders move their principals from managers to strategic change leaders who are equipped to drive continuous improvement.
80% of superintendents are dissatisfied with the quality of principal preparation programs today. As one superintendent said, “Principals don’t learn how to develop strategies and lead change, even though that is 90% of what they are asked to do.” This program helps district leaders address those gaps and move their principals from managers to strategic change leaders who are equipped to drive continuous improvement in their schools.
Across four working sessions, EAB experts will guide district leaders through a program that will engage participants in:
- Defining a process for leading strategic school improvement
- Developing the required skills for leadership in principals
- Protecting principals’ time for leading strategic school improvement with proven practices
EAB’s collaboratives are designed to lighten the load of adopting best practices, so sessions will include protected work time and all necessary implementation resources.

Attendance is best suited for superintendents, assistant superintendents, and principal supervisors. Registration for each session is limited to three attendees per institution.
