About the Webinar
Speaker: Logan Morris
Speaking with community college leaders, we have heard of the many ways faculty and staff worked tirelessly and creatively to move courses and services remote. Now that institutions have successfully transitioned, it’s time to evaluate these methods and determine how to strengthen them to accomplish our top mission: student success.
In this new remote world, students find themselves in a situation for which many are ill-prepared. In fact, most online courses have a 10-20% completion gap compared to face-to-face sections. However, there are proven strategies to support these students and help them successfully reach graduation. In this webconference, we discuss how to promote success in a remote space and maintain engagement in a socially distanced world.
Learn how to:
- Prepare students to learn online and substantially decrease student requests
- Develop a course delivery model that fits many different fall scenarios
- Construct policies that support persistence
- Identify and engage with at-risk students
- Move your virtual support services online
