Discussion on Research Computing and Data Management
How Research Universities are Prioritizing Investments and Compliance
All the buzz (and opportunity) around AI and quantum is driving research universities to spend big on research data management tools and computing space. At the same time, universities are struggling to comply with the various federal requirements about how and where research data is stored, managed, and shared.
This session will be an open-ended discussion about how research universities are meeting the moment: where universities are prioritizing research computing investments, how they are interpreting various regulations around data storage, and what is effective in achieving data management compliance—especially around CUI.
