The New Economics of International Student Recruitment
Sneak Peek of Our Research
Partner Event
This session will preview the global headwinds impacting international student recruitment today. Attendees will identify opportunities to move from a reactive recruitment and planning approach to a proactive strategy. We’ll examine questions such as:
- What role should the University Executive play in navigating this new age of international recruitment?
- How do we avoid in-cycle, knee-jerk reactions to meet student number targets?
- Are we maximizing international student revenue?
- Is a one-size-fits-all approach to recruitment hurting our bottom line?
- How do we build institutional maturity to set realistic targets in the future?
We will explore ways to track and control costs of acquisition to maximise per student revenue including: managing ballooning bursary and scholarship costs, setting spend thresholds, developing and defining diversification strategies, and placing bets on new markets. We’ll also look toward the longer term, with recommended strategies to prepare for more volatility and build agility, setting realistic revenue targets and forecasts.
Join us to learn how peers are adapting to the changing environment and strategies to mitigate the pressures exacerbated by international enrolment trends.
