Building a Financially Sustainable District
Olivia Rios
Districts can’t out-budget today’s challenges with yesterday’s practices. This study will highlight the process shifts and targeted strategies leaders need to build long-term sustainability without compromising impact.

Career Readiness for the Future
Margaret Sullivan
Students are heading into a future that’s more complex and less predictable than the one for which school systems were built. There are more options than ever, but also fewer linear pathways from school to career, especially as AI continues to reshape work.
As a result, students face unprecedented access to opportunities alongside greater uncertainty about which paths will lead to stable outcomes. This research will ask district leaders to rethink what “readiness” means, focusing on how to create systems to ensure students make informed decisions, take ownership of their path, and translate their high school experiences into a clear, actionable plan for what comes next.
