EAB’s Translating Trends to Strategy workshop series brings school leaders and their teams together to explore three forces that are most actively reshaping the future of independent schools: AI and the future of work, school choice and evolving price psychology, and resilience in a changing climate. Each session combines opportunities to learn new insights and data, engage in peer learning, and participate in scenario-based planning exercises designed to translate insight into action.

In Workshop #1: AI and the Future of Work, participants will examine how artificial intelligence is transforming professional work and student learning. Leaders will explore critical questions they should integrate into strategy, and evaluate how their school’s current position may need to shift in response to this evolving trend.

Workshop #2: School Choice and Evolving Price Psychology tackles the increasingly complex landscape of parental decision-making. With new competitors, pricing experiments, and redefined notions of value, schools must understand what drives family choices in a more transparent, price-sensitive market.

Workshop #3: Climate-Resilient Decision-Making explores how environmental change is reshaping facilities, finance, and community expectations. Participants will consider both physical resilience and the financial leadership schools can demonstrate in the face of impending climate disruption.

Across all three sessions, heads and leadership teams will:

  • Understand the latest data and evidence on these emerging trends
  • Pressure test their current strategies through guided exercises
  • Participate in peer breakouts and scenario-planning simulations
  • Receive practical tools to continue strategic conversations throughout the year
