Join EAB for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience at OpenAI, designed exclusively for provosts and vice presidents of academic affairs.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping higher education—from how students learn and faculty teach to how institutions assess outcomes and define academic quality. As generative AI capabilities continue to advance, provosts must determine not just whether to engage, but how to lead responsibly, rigorously, and strategically.

This session will take a hands-on, applied approach to help provosts better understand the emerging set of AI strategies being deployed across the sector—and assess which approaches are most relevant for their institution.

During this two-day event, participants will:

  • Explore the role and impact of AI in higher education, informed by perspectives from both EAB and OpenAI
  • Experience emerging tools and technologies to understand practical applications in the classroom and in day-to-day academic leadership
  • Engage with peers and experts in facilitated discussions examining how AI is shaping student learning and outcomes
  • Participate in forward-looking conversations to help define their institution’s approach to AI in the years ahead

The Provost Experience Lab is designed to provide both exposure and perspective—combining direct interaction with emerging technologies, peer exchange, and structured reflection on the academic implications of AI adoption.

As stewards of the academic core, provosts play a critical role in shaping how institutions respond to technological change. This Lab is designed to support that work.

The Provost Experience Lab is delivered in partnership with OpenAI. This collaboration does not imply endorsement of specific platform policies, products, or viewpoints.
