Deborah Chu

Associate Director, International Counselor Development

Deborah is an Associate Director for International Counselor Development on the Match, powered by Concourse team. In this role, she works with international high schools to showcase how Match can help students by providing more university options and simplifying the university admissions process. She offers strategic solutions to education professionals to alleviate stress during the university application process. Prior to joining EAB, Deborah spent 13 years as a K-12 educator in public schools in the northern Virginia area (Prince William County and Arlington County) and at international schools located in East Asia (Shekou International School and Seoul Foreign School). During her time in Korea, Deborah served on the advisory board for the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) assisting with the planning and marketing of the annual EARCOS Teachers’ Conference.

In her free time, Deborah enjoys reading, cooking, and attending musicals and events in the DC area. Her love of travel has led her to visit every continent but she’s still working on visiting more countries (38 with more to come). She combines her background in education and passion for underserved communities by serving as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) working with children in the Northern Virginia region.
