Jonathan Duke, Ed.D.

Senior Director, Research Discovery & Design

Jonathan is a Senior Director on EAB’s Research and Strategic Advisory Services team, where he leads research and advisory work focused on administrative effectiveness in higher education. He partners with institutional leaders to turn complex operational, financial, and organizational challenges into practical strategies that improve performance, strengthen teams, and support long-term sustainability.

Prior to joining EAB, Jonathan spent more than 20 years in higher education leadership roles across public and private institutions, including highly selective research universities, flagship institutions, and comprehensive universities. He brings a systems-oriented approach grounded in industrial engineering and deep experience leading complex, multi-site operational environments. His work has spanned organizational design, facilities and space strategy, workforce development, and the use of emerging technologies, including generative AI, to strengthen administrative operations.

Jonathan is especially interested in how institutions design systems, teams, and processes that improve both operational performance and the human experience of work. He believes effective administration should create clarity, build trust, and make strong performance sustainable.

Jonathan holds a Doctor of Education in Student Affairs Leadership and a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
