Professional Development Series for Principals, School and District Leaders

This event has passed.

Strategic thinking and change leadership skills are crucial for effective school leadership today. However, most principals are not adequately trained in these areas. EAB’s 4-part professional development series is designed to equip principals and aspiring leaders with the essential skills they need to succeed.

Series Session Overview

  1.  Introduction to Root Cause Analysis (September): Principals will dive deep into identifying the underlying causes of issues in their schools. This session will equip them with the tools to solve problems at their core.
  2. Hidden Enemies to Strategy (November): This is a great level-setting presentation where participants learn how inherent cognitive biases inhibit strategic thinking. The session introduces five evidence-based techniques to mitigate the impact of cognitive biases and craft bold strategies that can succeed in a rapidly changing world.
  3. Leading Campus Change Initiatives (January): Change is inevitable, but managing change effectively is a skill. This session will guide principals in crafting and executing robust change management plans that ensure smooth transitions and lasting improvements.
  4. Cultivating Compassionate Leadership (March): Research shows that compassionate leadership is vital for effective leadership. Yet, it’s a skill often left out in traditional training programs for school and district leaders. EAB has designed an expert-led session to learn concrete strategies to forge deeper connections and transform conflict into growth.
