In today’s rapidly shifting educational landscape, the importance of community colleges cannot be overstated. This session is designed for leaders to collaboratively reclaim the narrative surrounding the true value of the community college experience. Our focus will be on integrating experiential and career-ready learning across the curriculum, enriching the educational journey for all students.

Participants will explore innovative strategies for scaling up experiential learning initiatives while examining both successful implementations and challenges faced by institutions. A key component of our discussion will highlight the need for stronger integration of employer feedback and career outcomes data into academic program reviews.

Attendees will learn:

  • The importance of experiential learning: Discover how embedding hands-on experiences in the curriculum enhances student engagement and workforce readiness.
  • Best practices in implementation: Learn about successful strategies and address challenges faced when integrating experiential learning across programs.
  • Incorporating employer feedback: Discuss methods for using employer insights and career data to inform academic program planning.
  • Continuous improvement: Ensure all programs meet the evolving needs of students and the workforce, going beyond just job-ready credentials.
