New to Starfish or in need of a refresher? This two-part series offers role-specific sessions for advisors and faculty, each providing a structured introduction to the platform’s core features and essential workflows. Participants will explore foundational tools. Individuals who serve in both faculty and advising capacities are encouraged to attend both sessions to ensure comprehensive coverage of role-based functionality.
- Getting Started with Starfish for Advisors (August 6)
- In this introductory session, participants will build fluency in the essential workflows that support the advisor role. Topics include navigating the staff dashboard and student folders, creating and managing appointment availability, preparing for and documenting advising interactions, issuing and managing tracking items, and identifying and supporting targeted student populations. This session is designed for Starfish end users who are new to the platform or seeking a structured refresher on core functionality.
- Getting Started with Starfish for Faculty (August 13)
- In this introductory session, participants will build fluency in the essential workflows that support the faculty role. Topics include navigating your dashboard and student folders, creating and managing appointment availability, preparing for and documenting student interactions, and submitting Progress Surveys and flags.
