About the Webinar

Speakers: Pete Talbot, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid

EAB is hosting a series of online sessions interviewing key experts in the field who have key insights that are relevant to addressing the COVID-19 crisis.

School districts in the Seattle area were the first to close in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Northshore School District in Bothell, WA, was among the first in the Seattle area to switch to online instruction and has been profiled in the New York Times for their early efforts to make this unprecedented switch. Given the timing of the onset of the COVID crisis in the Pacific northwest, Northshore is several weeks ahead of the rest of the country in managing the myriad issues related to COVID-19.

Superintendent, Dr. Michelle Reid shares her experience and lessons learned on topics ranging from:

  • Issues of equity and access
  • School board and labor relations
  • Communication with critical stakeholders
  • Delegation to leadership team members
  • Addressing concerns about student and teacher mental health

Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and other senior district leaders will find the virtual session valuable.
