Background

Sarah is a research analyst at EAB. Her areas of interest include curriculum reform, TESOL, and promoting educational equity and outcomes for K-12 students, especially those historically marginalized in society. Prior to joining EAB, Sarah was a Peace Corps Jamaica volunteer until being evacuated from service early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She then transitioned into becoming an AmeriCorps VIS

Sarah is a research analyst at EAB. Her areas of interest include curriculum reform, TESOL, and promoting educational equity and outcomes for K-12 students, especially those historically marginalized in society.

Prior to joining EAB, Sarah was a Peace Corps Jamaica volunteer until being evacuated from service early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She then transitioned into becoming an AmeriCorps VISTA member in Kansas City, Missouri. While in AmeriCorps, Sarah served as an ELL Education Specialist where she developed and built the capacity of an after-school education program for immigrant and refugee youth.

Education

Sarah holds a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Southeast Missouri State University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in special education from Missouri State University.
