Quest Diagnostics has supported student health centers on college campuses for years by providing testing for a range of common health concerns. This year, their focus has shifted dramatically toward supporting COVID-19 testing.
Stacia Rivello from Quest joins Kaitlyn Maloney to talk about how that testing has gone so far and about why testing programs vary so widely from state to state and from school to school. Stacia stresses that there is no one-size-fits-all approach that is right for every school, but she acknowledges challenges schools face in interpreting sometimes disparate guidance offered by state and federal authorities.
She also offers a glimpse of new and better tests that schools can expect to see in the near future. Finally, Stacia offers what she considers to be the most important best practice colleges should adopt to optimize their testing program.
