The Advising Office of the Future (for Large Institutions)
About the Webinar
Speaker: Lindsay Miars
The rapid evolution of higher education and the student demographics it serves will demand major innovations in academic advising in the coming years. To meet these demands, advising must move beyond course registration and transactional services—and toward the vision of a true “student success office.” Join Lindsay Miars for a session first presented at CONNECTED 2017 exploring how progressive institutions are adopting new organizational models, technology policies, and accountability practices to build best-in-class advising offices. We will share how leaders are encouraging their staff to fully embrace the habits of next-generation advisors.
Note: This session will be geared towards large institutions with decentralized advising models. If your institution is small or midsized (or has a centralized advising model), we encourage you to join our December session instead.

Partnering with Faculty on Well-Being Initiatives
This webconference will focus on how to generate buy-in from campus partners and explore strategies to equip faculty with resources to help students build coping and resilience skills in an academic setting.
Quantifying the Impact of Your Student Success Initiatives (Part 2)
In this second session, we will focus on the backend of the process – analyzing and reporting on the outcomes of your initiatives. We will dive deeper into using the tools within the Navigate platform to assist with your evaluation, including the new Intervention Effectiveness tool. We will then close out the session with recommendations for how to successfully communicate your results and use your successes (or challenges) to inform future initiatives.
