As program leaders consider pursuing accreditation, this report analyzes the perceived value of ABET engineering technology accreditation through interviews with six accredited programs. It describes students’ and parents’ perception of accreditation and accreditation’s impacts on recruitment practices and graduate success. It also outlines additional accreditation benefits and advice for faculty and staff interested in pursuing ABET accreditation for their programs.
