Wellness Curriculum Topics and Considerations

EAB’s Independent School Executive Forum research team reviewed literature on the following six areas related to student wellness:

1. Mental health
2. Physical health
3. Identity
4. Sexuality
5. Social-emotional learning
6. Digital citizenship

The goal of this research is to surface findings around the ideal content for each prong in a wellness curriculum, teaching and learning strategies for each content area, and any additional considerations relevant for each topic area, such as potential controversy.
